Sail Number Application

Thank you for your interest in obtaining an official US Sailing sail number!

Appendix G of the Racing Rules of Sailing, with US Sailing prescriptions, specifies that official sail numbers must be displayed on the mainsail, all overlapping headsails over 130% and all spinnakers.

National letters, "USA", are required if participating in international events.

Numbers are only official if issued by US Sailing or a class organization as specified in Appendix G.

Boats displaying unofficial sail numbers are subject to protest.
