Boat Information
The name of the boat is allowed to be changed when a transfer of ownership takes place. The standard practice is that sail numbers stay with the vessel, unless other terms of sale were agreed upon by purchasing parties.

The Racing Rules of sailing requires an official US Sail Number. This is denoted by a USA in front of the sail number.
